What advantages does CS-II Ceramic Coating have over other coats like clear coats?

  • CS-II Ceramic Coating provides additional gloss and protection over the clear coats. Contaminants slide off easily on the Ceramic Coating, reducing the time they eat into the paint surface. An additional advantage is the ease of cleaning your vehicle.
  • Can CS-II Ceramic Coating be treated on most areas?

  • CS-II Ceramic Coating can be treated on all exterior surfaces including paint, glass, metal, stainless steel, chrome, gel coat, plastic composites, exhaust and wheels. CS-II Ceramic Coating should not be used on rubber or soft plastics.
  • Can CS-II Ceramic Coating be applied on rubber moldings?

  • CS-II Ceramic Coating Resin or Pre-Clean should not be used on rubber moldings or rubber seals.
  • Carbon fiber too?

  • You can apply CS-II Ceramic Coating to carbon fiber shields, panels, and parts.
  • What about my decals, emblems, etc.?

  • CS-II Ceramic Coating can be applied right over any decals and will even add gloss to your emblems.
  • Permanent coating?

  • You can think of CS-II Ceramic Coating Resin as adding a glossier, chemical resistant, and harder clear coat to the paint’s surface. CS-II Ceramic Coating is a permanent coating in the same sense that the clear coat on your car is permanent. The existing clear coat will eventually wear away over time; its overall longevity depends on factors and proper application.
  • Is a special car wash or soap needed to wash my vehicle before application?

  • There is no need for any special washing detergent or soap; any residue will be removed by our CS-II Ceramic Coating Pre-Clean Solution (Dewax).
  • What about after application?

  • Fortunately, there is no need to wash with special washing soap or shampoo. You can even use an automated car wash to clean your car.
  • Can CS-II Ceramic Coating be waxed or sealed over?

  • Waxing or sealing over CS-II Ceramic Coating will not damage the coating. However, allow the CS-II Ceramic Coating to cure for at least 3 days before applying another product.
  • Is there a correct procedure when applying CS-II Ceramic Coating to painted surfaces?

  • First, wash and dry the paintwork, then pour small amount of CS-II Ceramic Coating onto applicator pad and cover entire panel with a thin coating. Next, allow coating to dry for 2-3 minutes and lastly finish buff with a dry microfiber towel.
  • Is there anything else I must remove from my paint before application?

  • Transit wrap, tape or glue lines, bug residue, road tar, and any other contaminants must be removed from the paint before application. All polishing must also be done prior to application. Use the CS-II Ceramic Coating Pre-Cleaner or an equivalent prep-solvent to remove these residues.
  • Can I apply CS-II Ceramic Coating on my entire vehicle exterior before buffing off?

  • No. Applying the coating to the entire exterior at once allows the product to dry for too long on certain parts of the car. To reduce the possibility of letting the product over dry and ensure complete coverage, the application of the coating should be done on a single panel at a time. (E.g. hood, fender)
  • What should I do about missed spots?

  • Missed spots can be fixed easily by applying CS-II Ceramic Coating to the missed area then buffing it off. CS-II Ceramic Coating will level itself with the previously treated surface on its own.
  • What happens if I let CS-II Ceramic Coating over dry?

  • There are two solutions depending on the time since application. If the application was within the hour or two, just reapply the coating to the over dried section and immediately buff off. If the application was more than two hours ago, you need to use the buffing compound and remove the over dried area by polishing.
  • What is the curing time for CS-II Ceramic Coating?

  • CS-II Ceramic Coating cures immediately after application. After the coating has cured, it is best to avoid washing the car or driving in rain for the next day. Over the next 3 days, CS-II Ceramic Coating will continue to become harder until the surface reaches maximum hardness.
  • After my coating has cured, is there a way to remove it?

  • After the CS-II Ceramic Coating has cured, it can only be removed by polishing (compounding) or wet sanding.
  • Do I need any safety equipment when applying CS-II Ceramic Coating?

  • Rubber gloves should be worn. A respirator is also recommended for applications in closed and poorly ventilated areas.
  • Do I need to remove bird droppings from my car instantly?

  • Remove bird droppings from your car as soon as possible. To remove them easily, saturate the dropping and wipe off. Avoid scraping.
  • What happens when the water repellency of my coating decreases?

  • The water repellency of the coating will decrease over time due to the buildup of contaminants. To resolve the problem, just clean the surface with a mild cleaner and wash off thoroughly with water. The hydrophobic effect will then be reproduced.

    New Technology, Perfect Protection
At CS-II, our products will improve the durability and shine of your car's paint. After application of our paint coating, waxing is no longer required to make the paint shine and glimmer, saving you time and money. Your paint will even last longer! With all these benefits, there is no longer a reason to leave your car unprotected.

Our CS-II Ceramic Coating is a special nanotechnology product that provides a long term effect on painted surfaces like plastic trim, glass, wheels and more. This is not just a sealer that forms a barrier on the surface. It is rather, a modification of the surface chemistry on a molecular level to provide a permanent, easy to clean and protected surface. This means it is not just a coating that can wash off but a compound that will bind with the surface.
